Further Reading on the Italian Cinema

The history of filmmaking in Italy is a fascinating subject, for those willing to pursue the subject. Rossano entered into it in blazing triumph, at the end of one era, and was nearly obliterated, in many ways, by the beginning of another. In fact, he is one of the very few Italian stars who DID survive the transition to the era of Italian Neo-Realism, while basically remaining outside of it. For a better understanding of the Italian filmmaking world he lived in, we’ve collected a number of books you might find interesting. Click here!
